Surge brakes are better than nothing but still not something I'd be comfortable with - unless it's an occasional thing with a rental trailer or something.

Electric brakes. You have alot more controll with them. Its gets scary if you are towing something like a car and someone pulls out in front of you and you only have surge brakes. In the all knowing words of Bill Cosby "first you say it then you do it"

haha all you need is the one bad experiance with surge brakes to love the electric
