electric brake help?

I need to install electric brakes on my truck because my two trailers are way to hard on my brakes. I want to do it myself to save a little money. When i buy the electric modul will it just plug in somewhere, is there already a place for it to plug in? I have a 4 pin do i just take that off and put the 7 pin in its place?

some vehicle info will give us more to help you.(Assuming you have an F150)

1996 and older may or may not be wired and may need wiring from scratch.

1997-current all trucks are pre-wired for all towing options and a plug, relays and fuses will get you working(some may be already installed).
A brake controller will need to be installed as well....it will plug in under the dash above the OBDII port.(Superduty is a little more hidden)

The only fuse i have to install is the battery charger one relay 5

From my research that there is a hook up dangling underneath in the middle somewhere, is that right? Im confused on what to do to get a 7 pin hooked up any one have a link to the one they bought?
