Do you tow 7500lbs+ with 35's???

I have a 2005 F150 SCab 4x4 5.4 w/factory 4.10's, a leveling kit and 295/70/17's on 17x9's - I soon plan to add and the standard intake/cat-back/custom tune package to the truck. My question is about going to 35's. I'm dying to go with a 35x12.5x17 but with a toy hauler in the neighborhood of 7500lbs loaded, I'm thinking twice about it.

So for all you guys with the super sweet 6" lifts and 35's...or even 35's on Leveling kits, what kind of weight are you towing and how does your rig handle it? If anyone has ever been to Vegas from So Cal, the hill out of state-line on Interstate 15 south bound or the one going to Vegas out of Baker (16 miles long) are about as steep as I'll see. Am I asking too much and therefore I should stick with the 33's or is that withing range of my rig? Please don't tell me how my the truck is rated to tow 9200lbs as I know that's too much for this truck, I wanna know what your experiences are. Thanks guys...

You should be fine. having 4.10's and a 35 inch tire puts you just below a 265/70/17 with 3.73 gears. With the other mods you have planned you shouldn't have any problem at all pulling that trailer.

If it does fine with the 33"s, then I don't really see why 35"s would be too big of a problem. I don't remember the 15 being too hilly from LA to Vegas, so I'd say go for it. Now if you were going to be hauling that thing up and down the Grapevine, then I'd say hell to the no.

I haul an 8k toyhauler with my '02 with 34's and 4.10's. And to add to that, the grapevine is one of the easiest mountain tracks I've done yet. Sacramento to Reno was another story With your NBS truck and the options you have listed, I wouldn't even think twice about pulling that load anywhere anytime.

I've seen your rig in the "Show us what you tow" thread and I was very impressed. I agree with the Sac to Reno trek, when I was in college I stayed with some friends who went to UC Davis and we drove that in a motorhome and that's some serious climbing.

As for 34's and now that I think about it, I should've just compromised with the 305/70/17...perhaps in the future that'll be the ticket.

So any one else. How's your truck doin with 35's and >7000lbs?
