Easy 4 prong question

About to pick up a boat and realized I've never actually used the 4 prong. There is some jelly goop in there. What do you use to clean that stuff out?

The regular larger round 7 prong works fine. The 4 prong should be ready to go too right? I gues I can test it for power.

That is electrical connection grease... it prevents corrosion... leave it be.
