Towing my jeep TJ on my steel deck car hauler-about 6000# total, I have never seen my tranny temps over 195 and that was towing when it was 105 degrees outside. I would start to get concerned if it got over 215 or so given that my truck has never got the tranny temp up over 200 ever. It's an 06 F-150 Screw 4x4 with 5.4L & 3.73 gears and edge programmer. I also tow with overdrive locked out.
