Wiring With A Trailer

Truck: 2000 F150 4x4 with the 5.4L wired with electronic brakes

Trailer: Just bought it with a boat a few days ago, first thing I wanted to do was replace the wiring and lights on the trailer. Simple enough I thought. Currently have the two new lights installed on the trailer and wires ran.

Problem: I pluged the new harness into the plug on the back of my truck. I started my truck and turned my lights on and.... nothing no lights. I turned my turn signals on and both lights work with the signals and brakes but not with the running lights.. Any ideas?

Fuse....
Trailer park/running lights have their own fuse.

Also closely check your truck-trailer plug... they get corroded and keep the connection from forming a circuit.
