Flat Towing?

My 2001 4x2 SC won't start and was wondering if it's fine to flat tow my truck to my residence less than 2 miles away?

Better if you do a flat bed tow truck.

I'd do it, actually I have done it for a very similar situation. It's less than 2 miles and a 4x2. Put er' in neutral and git'r dun!

It's safe to flat tow a 4x2 for short distances at speeds under 35 mph. It would be safer to drop the driveshaft.

Thanks all! I decided on the safe side to have the truck towed on a flat bed to the dealership. Turns out to be a bad fuel pump. I figured so, since I elimated most other probably faults. I guess this is my Christmas gift to myself.
