Gave my 2001 a little work out last week...

I had a 73 J4000 Jeep pickup that I couldn't sell so I decided to scrap it last week. We used my 1994 Explorer and a big strap to get the nose up on the trailer, the rest of the way we used an old school chain come-a-long to get it on the trailer and strapped down. I crossed Gregco's scales at 12,420 gross pounds. The little 4.6 and 5 speed did just fine pulling the load, and I didn't have any problem stopping it. That is a late 80's rust free dual tank Ford truck long bed on top of it. I was slightly light in my rear but I wasn't going very far so I wasn't overly concerned with it being perfect...

Nice!! Yea the 4.6 5 speed is a good truck. I had a new 5.4 in my bed and a 2000 f150 on the trailbehind me and it pulled just fine. Even with how the dumba$$ loaded it onto the trailer.

Looks like fun...why does you truck sit like that? Planning on running 38's in the rear?

'cause he's pulling the truck onto the trailer with it hitched to the F150 and it's lifting the tongue of the trailer up, which is lifting the F150!

Can't get anymore "Redneck" than that!

You can tag that 3rd pic with Jeff Foxworthy's famous saying... "You might be a redneck if...."

I was going to question the same thing. Then I realized that the jeep sitting on the tail end of the trailer was lifting up the tounge of the trailer which was then lifting the *** end of the truck.

We didn't have much of a choice, my F150 isn't wired for my 10K pound winch...

Just giving you a bad time is all.... You gotta do what you gotta do!

It was the whole Georgia, Confederate flag hat, the lifting of the truck by the hitch and towing the Jeep on with another vehicle that brought out the worst of me!
