New 'to us' Camper

My wife and I have ended our TT search with the purchase of a 2007 Keystone Passport 200QS. We spent a year casually looking & considering our options based on our TV (2009 F150 CC w/Maxtow). The past 6 months have been more focused on specific models in our price range. We looked at this particular TT twice and our first offer was rejected in February, but this month we found it listed again (craigslist) for less than our first offer, so we went back. We offered less again and got it this time. We closed the deal last night. The TT is 'lite' and within our desired range.

200QS SPECS
Shipping Weight 4040
Carrying Capacity 1955
Hitch 395
Length 22' 7
Height 10'1
Fresh Water 30
Waste Water 30
Gray Water 30
LPG 40
Tire Size 205/75R14C

Being in MD we have to get it inspected first before we can register it, so I have another week to wait before we can get out there with it. We are very excited.

I have been towing my Jeep on a 16' open deck car hauler for 7 years; this is my first TT.

Congrats. Just got my first in October.2002 26 foot terry lite. My price range was 5000 or less so I did pretty good. Any pics?

I'll have to shoot my pics early next week. We are leaving for Easter Break soon and there is not time to bring it here from storage. I'm getting it Monday evening to clean de-winterize before I take it for inspection. We are psyched!

Hey, fellow Maryland'er. Nice lil trailer you have there. The family looks excited to be cleaning it up. That reminds me of when I was a kid and my dad was looking at buying our first family boat. My brother and I gave the ole' "we'll wash, scrub, clean it!!"

Congrats. Camping season is definitely here now in MD, enjoy.

Thx ChirsT. Everyone enjoyed cleaning it and it 'cleaned up' nicely too. The ride to get it inspected was uneventful and my truck pulled perfectly and braked well. My research into the actual weight of the trailer and tongue weight paid off with a size trailer that fits our family and is not too heavy. We are looking to go camping about 20 minutes away from here in 3 weeks.

Thx Kevin O. I'm off tomorrow to go pick it up from the dealer. It passed inspection and only needed a new 'house' battery. We are looking to go on our first trip in two weeks. Just a local campground my wife went to as a child. We are all excited. I'm sure the 'newness' will wear off for our son and his assistance with washing, etc will slowly wane.
