Trailer Registration

Hey I'm not sure everyone knew this, but you can register your trailer in Maine typically for a savings. I did it a few years back with MBI Trailers up in Maine. I’m guessing you can still do it now. I’m from RI and I know it’s not illegal to do it here. I know it saved me a bunch of money so I wanted to share this with everyone.

Hope that Helps,

Bill

State laws vary.
Out west, some states require the trailer to have an address where the owner resides for the registration and registered in that state. Some states don't require registration at all and others have a one time permanent registration.

In Colorado, the registration must be the same state and as the owners residence for tax purposes (taxes vary by county/city) and any registration changes must made within 30 days residence change.
