You should look into getting a Canyon Dancer the next time you decide to tow the bike in the bed again. Google it, there not expensive

I hate canyon dancer.

Seen too much damaged throttle tube when going to the track that the throttle would come back and didn't go through inspection before a track day.

And unnecessary strain on clip-on.

Soft Loop and Tripple clamp are the place to use.

For handle bar: just use the bend part with a soft loop too.
Or the hook directly if you don't care.

This is how we do as well, usually run a piece of rope from one hook in the bed then around the wheel once and to the other hook to help the wheel stay straight as well, do the same for the rear so it doesn't bounce around.
