does anyone know if ford offered a factory tbc for the 07 fx2 sport screw f150's? my truck has the factory tow package with the 7 pin connecter for trailer brakes under the bumper. im wanting the factory oem equip not aftermarket unless it just wasnt made for the 07 fx2 sport screw f150.

I don't think the factor BC's came on the F150's until at least 08-09... Maybe even later??
Besides, if you have to 'add' it later, I understand it's pretty expensive to get the unit and you also have to have your trucks computer re-flashed for the BC program..
Otherwise, you should be able to find the plug in under the dash for it, buy a Prodigy BC and also get the Prodigy pig tail for it and at that point, all you have to do is mount the Prodigy and plug in the pig tail.
As long as you have the rest of the tow package fuses and relays installed, you should be able to hitch up, follow the initial setup instructions on the Prodigy and roll!
Cost... About $150 at most..
Cost to do the OEM setup (if it's even available for your year truck)... A lot more than above...
Good luck!

I dont think you can add a factory brake controller. I have an aftermarket one and it does just as good. If you are towing a lot and heavy loads spare no expense in the actual brake controller unit. Since your truck came from the factory with the tow package you have the pigtail in a plastic bag that plugs into a spot under the dash to the right of the steering wheel. From there its just connecting wires from the pigtail to the controller. The most expensive thing you have to buy is the actual controller itself. Can be bought at most trailer places.

09 was the first year for a factory tbc.
Price: ~$200 for 09's and some 2010's (had a display on the tbc)
$95 for 2011's (no display on the tbc reads on info screen)
Flash: $0-$130 depending on your dealer.
install takes 5 minutes if you have the 7 pin connector at the hitch. if you don't have the 7 pin you are better off with aftermarket.
