Questions on adding a brake controller

I am heading away on a trip tomorrow and may tow a car trailer home with my 2010 Lariat. I just realized I have to add a drake controller at the dash. The controller I have is a Drawtite Activator. I know some people would suggest buying a new fancy digital readout plug and play unit but I want to use this one.

My truck has the tow package. I see the 7 way plug below the rear bumper but what I need to know is what is already under the dash for me to hook to. Is there a direct feed from the battery to run this thing? Is there a heavy wire Ford installed to carry the signal back to the bumper? Appreciate any help and or a schematic of under ther dash would really help. THANKS

If you go with a new brake controller it's plug and play. The only thing you have to do is plug the relays into the fuse box in the engine compartment and you are ready to tow. They also make pig tales to work with the controller you have and all you have to do is match the wires up use solder-less crimp connectors, plug it in, and install the relays. You should have revived a pigtail in the glove box with the relays when you bought the truck. You should be able to get the pigtails from any RV dealer or your Ford dealer should have them.

OK That is what I was hoping to hear. So the pigtail ends then plug into wiring that is already installed from the factory?
About where under the dash would I find it?
