Towing and the ALCAN Highway

So last night I finished my drive to Haines from Anchorage. Almost 800 miles of some of the worst road conditions I have ever dealt with.

I weighed the truck and trailer before i left, grand total of 15,230 lbs.

The weight distribution hitch is a God-send. As is 4 wheel drive.

Over all, not to bad of a drive. Although the "bumpy" part from the fist boarder crossing to Destruction Bay was a bit hairy at times.

I am happy with the new tow tune from VMP as well. Handles the heavy load very well. Good solid shifts, and it holds last gear like a champ. Coolant temp did make it up to 208 at one point though. Other than that, everything was golden!
