With just the Max tow pkg and not the HD pkg you are probably around 1900lbs for payload.Look at the yellow sticker on the drivers door. It will tell you what the max payload is for that truck It depends on what options the truck has which will weigh in against the payload #. If i were you and you plan on towing a 5ver with it i would look for a truck that also has the HD pkg. Then your payload will jump up about 1000lbs. I wish i waited 1 more year for the HD pkg!! Because of my trucks options and being a FX4 crew cab it's payload is 1700lbs.When hooked to my trailer ready to camp with fishing gear and the kids bikes in the bed of the truck im 180lbs under the trucks GVWR of 7700lbs. My trailers tongue weight is only 900lbs. I'm assuming that 2012 has the same GVWR of 7700lbs so you might be pushing it. Good luck, Kevin

Thanks for the reply Kevin, truck is already ordered so i guess ill have to just deal with it. had a friend come over with his new f150 and hooked it up and it pulled great, tho it did squash it abit. i'll get some air bag to help with that. it's just the wife and i that camp now so we travel pretty light(no bikes, fishing gear and stuff) so....ya.....cant wait till it gets here now
