My truck is a 97 f150 4x4 off road, extended cab, with the 4.6 and 207,000 miles and this is what I did about a week ago.



My cousins explorer lost a head gasket and needed a ride home to the shop that did the original work so I got to make the 5 hour trip to Evansville, IN. (10 hours and about 500 miles total) to go pick the thing up. The trip is riddled with hills and turns but over all wasn't too bad. I picked up a Hopkins brake controller before the trip and that did wonders for keeping this thing in check.

Over all, as much as i complain about my truck being old and worn out, I was really impressed with the little 4.6. I had the trailer loaded a little to far forward and lugged some nasty hills but the ol girl took the full load for the 5 hour trip back home with out a single hiccup.

Any comments are welcome I just wanted to stop in and brag on my truck a little since I don't get to very often!
