Urgent help needed!

Hi,

I am installing my engine/tranny back in my truck tonight, and I did something dumb.

I did not mark the transmission coolant lines, so I do not know which end goes into which port.

Could someone tell me which port, top or bottom, the top and bottom ports on the radiator attach to?

I have a 1998 F150 4.2L with the 4R70 Tranny. Thanks!!!

I'd like to finish this job tonight so if anyone has this truck and can go check for me, I would be eternaly greatful. Thanks!

Steve

Top line on the trans is the return from the rad cooler (the bottom openning). Thus, the bottom line on the trans goes to the top of the radiator.

Thanks, Jersey!

I went to Ford today and had them print me out a copy of the routing, and it matches what you said.
