maybe a dumb question but I have a 02 f-150 xlt 4.2 v-6...need to know what stock gears i have....have a 3" PA body lift and I am installing a 3.5" fabtech spindle lift ....have 20" wheels with 285x60 20 bfg all terrains...what gears should i go with for best performance and gas mileage...do not tow anything

 

idk man if you look in the manual it will tell you what gears you have...cuz i was curious about mine so i went and looked..on my 2002 4.6 v8 xlt ive got 3.08 gears i really want 3.73

Can't tell you what you have from here, but you can look yourself on the door jam sticker for the code under Axle. Google ford axle codes and follow any chart.
