No ones makes one yet. Hurst said they are looking into making one, but we shouldn't hold our breaths. They do however make one for the 88-96 F-150's which no one has yet tried to see if works on the 97+ F-150's. I beleive they said if anyone is near the Cleveland (or was it Cincinnati? ) area to bring their trucks by their shop for testing.

Thanks mr2x75, you got a real nice truck too. I really like that new airdam you put on. That would be great if you could stop by Hurst! That would defineatly get the ball rolling. Plus, I think they throw in a free shifter for the person who brings in their truck for testing!

mr2x75, if your going to get a hold of Hurst (Mr. Gasket performance group) I would reccomend using this e-mail: Jim.Puskas@dana.com or try www.mrgasket.com . I had been in contact with Jim a while back. He said that if they had a truck they could work with it would make things much easier. If you are in a position to do this, it might bring you some benifits. I might bring up all (with the 5-speed) the benifit of a closer ratio, smooth shifting truck. Don't forget to let them know what site you were on when you saw this as I referred to this site many times in e-mail.
Hey, it's worth a try!

Good luck. Let us know if anything transpires!

That sounds awsome! It seems like it would be a cool experiance being involved in the process. I wish I coud do it myselv, but it's a bit too far away for me. I would have to plan a vacation to do something like that.
I hope that they are serious about this. I think there is quite a market for this product. Wouldn't it be cool if they introduced it to the market right here on this site? They would have to pay the necessary fees but they would sell a few units right off the bat!
Please, keep us posted about anything that happens. There are a few of us waiting with credit card in hand.
Have fun!

About a year ago in feburary i e-mailed B&M about a shifter for our trucks. They said check back in a year. Pretty vauge answer for a company but since they dont have e-mail anymore and like a personal experience with their customers now im gonna give them a call and see if they have anything on the drawing boards.

It's only a matter of time before one of the companies produces a shifter for our trucks. I don't care who makes it. I want my truck to shift cleaner. I am hoping that there will be a shifter soon, so I can install it while my truck is still reletively young (29,000mi).
I think any inquries we make (with the companies that will potentially produce a shifter) are letting them know that ther is a market for it. I have been leaning twards Hurst to produce this shifter only because it's a name that has been around for years and is sonomous with "muscle". Like I said, I don't care who's name is on the thing, as long as it help me get through the quarter a bit faster!

i'm having my stick shift cut 2.5" and threaded for a aftermarket shift ***.

2.5" should be enough...
