Dealer forget to tighten my tailshaft...
Hello All,
This is also posted in the Engine forum...this morning I noticed that I was leaking....Ahhh never a drop then this huge puddle....I was mad...I looked and looked and finally found the problem...the rear tailshaft on my 4R70W was leaking...all of the bolts were finger LOOSE....30k miles ago Ford fixed my tranny and it seems they did not tighten the bolt's down enough...causing my huge leak....so if anyone goes to Payton Wright Ford in Grapevine Tx, beware..... and if u have some tools check there work and make sure your nuts and bolts are tight...so you wont wake up one morning and find the truck leaking like a sive. I went ahead and changed the tranny fluid and filter and pressure washed the tranny..we will soon find out if the leak is fixed....and does anyone know if the rear tailshaft has a gasket or do they use silocone....and BEWARE of Payton Wright Ford....
