4spd or 5spd manual???

I am going to purchase an f 150 in the next 3-6 weeks and am pretty much decided on a 4.6/manual transmission. However, when doing various searches and information gathering, i notice some ads display "5spd manual" and others say "4spd w/ overdrive" . Are these the same, or different? And if different, which is recommended and what are some of the differences (besides the obvious). Thanks,
-adam

5 speed manual is a manual. 4 speed with od is a automatic.

Thats the way it was when I was in the market.

Look closer. That is supposed to be a "D" inside a white "O." It is supposed to be "OD."
