Question Level 10 Shift Kit???

Anyone have any experience with Level 10 Products???

Their kit costs about $50.00 more than the TranGo kit and I'm wondering if it's worth it. I know that most have the TransGo kit installed but that may be out of convenience considering that's the most widely available mechanical kit.

I wanted to get the right kit because I've read of a few people having shifting problems with the TransGo kit in the cold and I'm way up hear in Minnesota.

There's not a lot of info out there on the Level 10 kit.....

Geez, Gregg!!! I appreciate the response, and I don't think I would have come across all of that information on my own, but I still don't understand fully what you're trying to show me.
I read the artical 3 times and understand more than I had but I'm still confused because it sounds like some of the shift kits deal with certain problems while ignoring others.

Rather than go on and on, could you tell me what I can replace or modify to make my transmisison shift more quickly and last a whole lot longer

Is there even an Accumulator Shift Kit available for the 4R70W???

My plan had been to add a shift kit and replace the pressure regular and bypass clutch control valves with Sonnax valves.

AjRagno If you have a 4R100 tranny you should consider the Factory Tech Valve Body as Gregg suggested. I recently installed one(last week) in a F250 SD and am very pleased with unit. It was easy to install unbolt and bolt was all there was to it. The truck now shifts very nice - quick smooth under regular driving. The shifts are barely noticeable. Under heavy throttle -- quick and firm with no messing around. The more I drive with it the better I like it. Highly recommended by me (who knows very little).

I'm sorry, I thought you were asking about a 4R100. I don't make parts for the 4R70W, Bauman Engineering makes a good one. I avoid Level 10 myself, but it's personal. Also try out LENTECH, they make some quality parts for the 4R70W.

Hope this helps,

G

Thanks fella's. It does help.

I actually did find a couple of companies last night that sell a complete performance valve body for the 4R70W.

There is more real world infomation out there about LENTECH than any other AOD/AOD-E focused transmission company.

Very helpful, Gregg!!

I saw him at WFC this year, seemed like he knew what he was talking about. Had a few very sweet looking boxes out.
