Trans Mods

Trans Mods
I have read that there are different ways to achieve a bulletproof 4R70 trans that will live behind a supercharged 5.4.
What I have read, as I recall, was something about pressures. Apparently some combinations of shift kit and chip mods yield a system that runs the trans at higher pressures "all the time" which can cause accelerated wear on the pump whereas others only raise the pressure as needed.
Does anybody know the answers?

Every chip I've seen other than what's availible from Reinhart Automotive raises constant line pressure to gain better shifts unless you spcifically ask for no tranny mods. Dennis's chips are done right as they increase pressure during shifts and take out the timing retard during shifts..you will be very pleased. I haven't seen anyone else who can do this right.

HI!... I have a "RACE DUTY" 4R70-W in my truck. It was custom built for me by WORLDWIDE TRANSMISSIONS here in WINDSOR. GARY SR. the owner, is a very good friend of mine and he built it. It's been said that it will hold up to 550H.P and 650FT/LBS of torque. Even in a SC'ed application. GARY SR knows his *****! He even built a SEVERE RACE DUTY C-4 for my 713H.P PRO STREET RANGER. Even with the addition of the 250 "BIG SHOT" the tranny has never given me a problem. I'm not a tranny guys so I'm not to familiar with tranny JARGAN, but I can suggest to you to go full synthetic, a good shift kit (TRANSGO), get a aux external tranny filter, a tranny temp guage, a good larger aftermarket tranny cooler and electric fan for the cooler.
