E4OD converter, where to buy

I need to replace the torque converter in my 1993 4.9 E4OD and I am looking for advice on where I should try to purchase one to install myself.
No hot rod stuff, just a stock TC is what I need.
Also, is there anything special about the R&R ? Or is it a straight off with the old and on with the new.

Thanks for your time and any help.

They run about $250 at the dealer, pretty reasonable. After you get the tranny out, it's pretty straightforward to install one. THe input shaft floats free, so if it comes out some with the converter it's no big deal, just push it back in. It's very important to get the new converter seated, it has 3 steps when it goes in, the way to check is to run a straight edge over the bell housing after the new on is in, if the edge goes over it without touching the converter it's in, if not you have another step to go. ood luck with it.
