Cruise Control

Hey everyone . . . didn't know where to put this but this seemed to be the best fit . . .

Anyway, I've got a 97 F-150 4x4 with the 4.6 Auto XL trim. Didn't come with cruise control. I'd kinda like to have it now that I'm "used" to driving my girlfriends car on the highway with it in hers.

Would it be a big deal/expensive to have it installed? I imagine everything is there "waiting to be hooked up" but not too sure. I won't do it if it's crazy dough but it would be nice if it was something simple/reasonable. Has anyone ever done this post purchase?

Thanks!!!!!!

No, it's not difficult. In fact, my father for some reason purchased his vehicle WITHOUT cruise control, then turned around a week after purchase and had a aftermarket one installed he wanted it so bad. Who knows what warranties he voided, which isn't a concern for you.

Anyway, the job looks very professional, it's an extra sticky-out thing from the steering wheel base, like you turn-signal or windshield wipers. It took about two hours to install and cost about $150 if I remember correctly. Just had it done at a reputable "Car Tunes and Tint" type of shop in town...B
