First time post so be gentle
I am in need of location my EGR valve on a V6 2001 F-150. Any help would be appreciated.

When your facing your truck engine it is located to the right of the Throttle Body. It looks like an old style round silver UFO. On the top of the EGR valve you will also see a small vacuum hose connected up to it. The silver round EGR valve probably has ~ an 4 1/2 inch radius. Probably has a white curved sticker on the top and around the edge, the sticker will have a bunch of letters and numbers with the odd hypthen on it.

Right in front of the EGR is what looks like a round, black, twist off cap, with an electrical connector stuck in it's side. This is your Electrical Vacuum Regulator.

Hope this a helps a bit. If I knew how to post pictures, and was not so lazy to find out, I would scan a picture of it in.
