Rodent(s) ate some wires on my 2000 F150 4.2L!

Hello,

I was at my farm today and discovered that a rodent or rodents ate some wires on my 2000 F150 4.2L engine. One of the wires is a spark plug wire. I think it is the wire to the number 1 cylinder.

I am not sure what the other 2 lead wire is? I think that I could splice it to the old wire if I can find the end with a connector. I have attached 2 pictures. Can anyone tell me what the name of this wire is or what it does?

Thank you,
Russell

Hi,
I'm not familiar with that engine.
Here's a link to pigtails.
Several 2 cavity plugs that may go there. You need to find the correct wire gauge.

Thanks.

Thanks for the link. I am not sure about what gauge wires were there.

I am adding two more pictures of (a stock motor) where the connector is located to see if anybody knows what it is connected to.

These pictures show more clearly the location of the connector.

Anyone?

Hi. I think it's the idle air control. Page 9 WPT304 and/or WPT357.
Thanks.
