That's the regular cab for 2004.
All Ford trucks will now come with 4 doors.
Those are what Ford calls "Access Panels", and their purpose it to make loading easier behind the seat.

I like the way it looks, especially in the 4X4 but I don't like the idea of "fly by wire". When I hit the gas, I want my foot connected to the throttle. I want to decide if the rear wheels break loose or not. Don't want the computer preventing a decent burn out...

 

Maybe I need to fertilize it 'cuz it sure ain't growing on me...

man this thing ain't growing on me yet. I sure do like the seat in back of my extended cab. perfect for grand younguns.

 

I dont understand fords ideas, it looks like a f-250-explorer. wait till u see the new 2005 mustang looks like a t-bird. everything ford makes now looks like the stupied explorer and look at the expediton same damn thing cant even tell them apart on the road untill u get next to them

 

Kinda like Chevy is making everything look the Avalanche's front end. The 99-02 GM pickups look good but they kind of ruined them with the '03 stlye. All the Dodge trucks/suvs look pretty much similar too....ugly that is!

On the other hand-I like the new F150 styling. I never warmed up to the present styling and the new sheet metal looks more aggressive to my eyes. Looks a little bit like a scaled down SuperDuty in some regards.

That photo is of the regular cab, and not the supercab.
Don't be fooled into thinking that just because it has 4 doors that its a supercab, it's not.

The supercab style will still give you the backseat to haul all your grandkids around.

It's easy to get confused by looking at the photo.

the only thing i don't like about the 04 f150 is the grill, it looks like a fat explorer sport trac and i don't like the skinny one. and i agree the new 03 gm's look like crap. the avalanche is a ugly and now the pickups are too. you are right, all dodges look like crap.
