Getting 17.4 with about 70% highway driving. Good point, hapynzap, about technique. I like to time the red lights so that I brake lightly, or not at all. It's also fun to watch people race past me with a red light directly in front of them. I often wonder what they're thinking.

 

I have a 2001 F-150 supercab 2x2 with 4.6L, auto, and 3.55 LSD. Currently I have about 13,000 miles on it. Last weekend I drove through Napa and Sonoma and got 20.1 MPG, basically on country roads generally going about 55 MPH. Generally the in-town milage is about 16 - 17 MPG. I'm running the 5W-20 oil.

 

2x2? I think some one might be a little tired tonight!

I personally think mine is capable of 20 mpg but I cruise at 75mph.

15.5 mpg over the first 1000 miles, mixed city / freeway.

I'm happy with that.
