Anyone make a homeade ram air on their truck? basically what I am trying to do, is connect a hose to the airbox, and run that down to somwhere either below the bumper or right behind the grille. Although I am having trouble finding 3" flexible hose. Anyone have any ideas where to get some?

 

Home Depot. In the dryer section.

 

I believe the dryer hoses are possibly 4". A guy in the Lightning section did a similar mod with an indoor/outdoor vacuum hose and attachment kit from a hardware store. It had a great looking, tough hose and one of the attachments looked similar to the scoop. The whole thing ended up looking very similar to what the Lightning tuners sell.

 

I stand corrected. But hey, it was a good guess!

 

It's all good information. I wasn't trying to step on your toes, just another alternative. I have seen dryer hose used here before. This vacuum cleaner hose thingy this guy posted was really trick, around 3", and fit well where the inner fender well liner was cut to avoid tire rub.

 

FLEXIBLE VENT HOSE DOES COME IN 3" WE USE IT TO VENT BATHROOM FANS. I DO NOT THINK YOU WILL FIND IT AT LOWES/HOME DEPOT. TRY AN APPLIANCE PARTS STORE IN YOUR CITY. I SELL IT IN MY APPLIANCE PARTS STORES IN MISSISSIPPI. LET ME KNOW IF YOU CANNOT FIND IT AND I CAN SHIP IT TO YOU.
