Rough Starts

Could anyone possibly help me out. I have a 1999 Ford F150 supercab with a 4.6 triton engine and 94,000 miles on it. In the extremely could months whenever the temperature gets down to 5 degrees or colder when i try to start my truck it will not start without me having to pump the accelerator and then sitting there for 30 seconds to 1 minute until the choke keeps it running I have replaced the wires and plugs to the tune of 575.00 and then the truck quit and had to be towed only to find out the cables going from the battery to the starter were corroded and broke in half which they say was not under warranty so that fix cost me 350.00 .

Also one other thing my extended warranty expires in 10 days and i have the base care warranty, Does anyone know if valve seals are covered or if this is my problem as every morning when i start the motor a puff of blue smoke comes out the tail pipe.

Sounds like a problem with your Idle Air Control Valve. I had a similar issue two winters ago and found some awesome posts on this site with how to replace step by step pictures. I remember it being a little over $50 and 10minutes of my time.
