leaking oil
my 94 f-150 5.0 leaks oil with 108k. would replacing the rear main seal fix it, or is a ridge in the crankshaft likely. if the ridge is so, is there undersize oil seals, or a special tecnique required.
PLEASE REPLY
when i replaced mine on my stang back in august. i drove it in the pan/block and made sure the seal road on a different spot on the crank. no leaks yet. you can get seals with a speedy sleeve but not sure on the sizes though.
oh to install the seal a small coffee can is the perfect size

oil leak
thank you, lee. that sounds like a really good idea . i will try using a coffe can. when my dad put an oil seal in an s-10, he just used a punch, and it still leaked. what do you mean by speedy sleeve?
