No speed limiter?

I have found that I am able to do over 100mph in my 97. It is possible that it didn't have a speed limiter? BTW, I don't have a chip installed and I don't have a programmer.

mine does 110 before the limiter kicks in. 112 if you keep bumping it.

aftermarket chips will get rid of that limiter.

a chip will get rid of a limiter in 98 or newer cause the computer controls the limiter, 97 speed sensor controls it. my 97 shut off a 100 . my new toy doesnt thought, at 140 its pullin hard and i just let off cause i was running out of road.
