Post Turbonator feedback

Just looking for some feed back on the turbonator for your air intake to increase horsepower and milage. I think I want to get one but would like some unsolicited feedback.
What do ya' think?

A worthless product. Do a search on the subject. It has been discussed and cussed.

According to Popular Science - does NOT work.

I do not see how it could work on our trucks. Any cyclone effect created by the device would be gone by the time the air and fuel are mixed much further down the line.

Please people use some common physics thinking.
How far is the intake valve from where this device is located and what kind of path must the air take to get there?
Swirling the air so far away from the combustion chamber would not maintain that condition going through the throttle body, elbow and into each runner to the heads.
The fuel is injected very near the head port so sees no different air actions produced way ahead of that point.
The only possible engine configuration that could benifit from this kind of air action is a carbed engine where the fuel is mixed with the air. Putting this item in the air path introduces possible increases in mixing action close by and could carry improved 'mix' all the way into the head chamber.
Putting this device ahead of the mass air meter can upset the metering action and result in a different output to the PCM at the very least.
The air meter is a calibrated device that takes into consideration the physical duct surroundings it is placed in by factory design..
Some think fuel mileage increases are seen, but the more probable reason is the device has leaned out the air meter response by altering the airflow as seen by the air meter and the air temp sensor.
Depending on your view that may or may not be an improvement for a different reason..

This and many other products are sold using the theory that "A sucker is born every minute." There is no actual value, or performance gains to be realized from its use.

Forget that science smience, it will work about the same as taking a large brick of poop and jamming it into you air intake.... :santa:
