Headers And an intake should be next. They also make higher lift cams for those engines. Headers intake adn a slightly bigger cam will gain you near too 300 hp anf 350-400 ft/lb TQ. My opinion of course.

Unable to find any cams, headers or intakes with a carb eo#, I have limited my mods to a few simple bolt-ons. I have tried quite a few things, and I'll be glad to share what I've found...

Excluding cam/header/intake/internal mods, the single best mod I made was installing a K&N FIPK. I modified mine a bit, relocating the filter near the opening in the side of the radiator support, and fabricated ducting from the opening in the bumper to the filter. I couldn't tell you if the custom mods I did made much difference, but the FIPK itself did. Big time. By far the single biggest improvement.

Second would be the JET chip I installed several years ago. Most people told me it was a waste, but they were wrong. Unfortunately, after 6 years or so, I developed a cold start issue that was only solved by removing the chip. It felt like the truck gained 1000 pounds when I took the chip out. JET chips have a lifetime guarantee, I just haven't sent in for a replacement yet.

Third would be the cat back, but you've already done that.

I've also replaced the coil for preventative maintenance, and relocated the IAT sensor, but neither made any difference in power.

I've tried at least a half dozen different types of spark plugs, and this engine responds the best to Champion Truck Plugs. I've been able to get a little more out of them by side gapping them, but unless you're familiar with side-gapping, I wouldn't recommend it.

I'm currently using Taylor plug wires, but I liked the Accel 300+ wires I used to have much better.

Keep an eye on your tranny fluid level. These trannys are notorious for leaking fluid out the top, and when they get low on fluid, they don't last very long.

Hope this helps.
