Today when I started my truck everything was fine. Then as I was driving down the street it starting running really funny. It idiled really rough at the stop light and when i gave it very little gas it accelerated very rought and jumpy.

After I put some gas in it and continued to drive down the road it continued to drive bad. Then the "Check Engine Soon" light popped on.

Also when I was breaking, it did the same bumpy, rough feel.

I have no idea what could be the problem, I thought it might be a bad spark plug, but that wouldnt cause the feeling on breaking?

I'm gonna take it into the service station on Tuesday, but I was wondering if you guys have any idea what might be causing the problem?

it could be way to many things to start listing problems. take it to autozone where they can hook up their code reader and get the codes. i hear they do it for free.

make sure you don't take their advice on what to replace. write down the code(s) and look them up on this site http://www.obd-codes.com

they will try to sell you parts to fix the problem but won't guarantee that the part will fix the problem. keep in mind they're not mechanics and alot of them have never tried to fix a car in their life.
