That's true. I'm milking the stock bottom end as long as I can, with as much boost as I can get away with. The SVO ( Ford Racing) heads do maintain the stock CR for non Pi's, but out of the box they still outflow PI's by 18%, and can be ported for more.

Dont those SVO heads actually flow a little less than PI's on the exhaust side? Or am I just making things up in my mind.!? lol
They do flow a nice amount more on the intake side though.

Just curious, where did you get those heads ONE LOW F??

One thing for sure, you guys got *****. I thought about PI head on my 98, then I read the labor estimate of 22 hours and said F THAT.

Bartak1 - The SVO's flow more on the exhaust side too, but only about 5 cfm at .500. The whole design of the head is unique.
Here's the vendor I got them from, good guys, very helpful.

Navi - I saw an article on the head swap where a guy said he spent 8 hours just getting to them and getting them and all of the other stuff off of the truck!

yeh thats whats funny.. the Performance improved heads flow less CFM.. but somehow make more power... but round ports have greater velocity than squarish ports.. im happy with my heads lol everyone stil is trying to buy them off of me lol my tuner mark keeps offering me a dolar for them

just bought a harmonic balancer good for 800+ HP and excess of 10,000rpm
made by BHJ its solid steel 6.9" diameter

got it for 112 shipped and its an 8 rib not a 6 rib. im also about to buy valve springs hopefully il find a good deal. and today got vibration problem reduced.. turns out the wreck i was in years ago tweaked the drive shaft to
.004" run out. so i had a bad vibration at 80mph now its at 90mph and he recomended it be replaced.. so now im looking at saving up for a two piece drive shaft to eliminate the whip effect from the long drive shaft and prevent it from being a weak link. ive gotten some quotes already for around 450 bucks for a steel two pc drive shaft. that will handle 1200+ tq.
