Front cover blues

New to the forums, so a quick hi to all and asking for advise.

Water pump developed a leak and upon removal found two bolts siezed
After snaping a bolt off in the block and a bolt extractor in the bolt, It appears i have to R&R the oil pan to remove the cover to get to the broken bolt. Has anyone got around this? Thanks in advance

Front cover

After snaping the extractor in the bolt at the frt cover, i loosened the bolts on the oil pan. bought a 12 in galvinized pipe from osh to use as a extension for my 1/2 racthet and busted the bolt loose on the dampner and finally got the frt cover off and snaped the same bolt off in the block at the top left water jacket.
So the suspect bolt was frozen in the cover, as i again used a bolt extractor on the bolt after shearing it off in the block this time it came right out. The service manual says to remove the oil pan to r&r the front cover, i lowered it 1/2 inch, enough to get the cover off. ordered parts from a friend at ford....

Hope this may help others by the way i need a new frt cover as the bolt is frozen solid from corrosion...
