Girlfriend's G35 is squeeling like no other...

I think it is coming from the fan assembly/fan clutch. I checked the belts, pullies, etc. and can't find anything there. How do I determine to exact cause of the squeeling from the fan assembly? And how do I solve this problem? Is this a lube issue, or a clutch issue. The sucker screams like crazy when you start her up. Engine doesn't run hot, nor does the coolant, so the fan is moving pretty well. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Update: Car was dead this morning and she had to have a jump but the battery is less than 2 months old. Could this be the alternator or water pump???? The car has 50,000 miles. I hate these Japanese cars

Nissan belts are bad about going out around 30k. On my frontier I had to go through 3 sets of belys before 100k. I would replace the belt and stick with OEM jap cars sometimes will make noise with a brand new offbrand belt. Atleast that was my experience. If you want to check before you get into this thing just hit the belt with a quick shot of wd-40 if the noise goes away then its the belt. If not look elsewhere, possibly the alt bearings. The wd-40 burns off and has no lasting effects of the belt doesnt have a problem

It's not the belt. I replaced that probably 2-3000 miles ago at the most. It was dead again this afternoon, I'm guessing the alternator is going out. Anyway for me to check the alternator for voltage? Cars going to the dealership on Friday, thank God I don't have to pay for that stuff.

my bros wifes Saturn has the same problem and he replaced the belt and a few thousand miles later same sound is back, so if not the belt its something in the fan assembly, they ended up ditching the thing so I really have no idea what it took to solve that problem.

Pull the belt off and check the idlers/pulleys.
