UPDATE!!! Went ahead and replaced coil#8 with brand new coil from global, as well as changed all my bosch plat+4's back to OEM motorcraft platinums....the old coil acutally had a small crack and some white residual from the electricty exiting out on the boot. The major bucking and misfiring has been fixed and truck is running better. HOWEVER, i am still experiencing some type of mis that seems to occur under light load especially last night on the interstate while going up hill on cruise control, the truck would buck a little, then downshift to get up the hill and retain the set speed. it also does it very lightly on regular driving when shifting into overdrive around 40pmh. i am getting extremely frustrated of working for hours and not getting this damn mis worked out! The major misfire is gone which is a relief, i felt like i was riding a bull when i was driving it before i swapped out the coil. what other things could i look into checking to get this fixed? a lil help please! its greatly apppreciated, you guys are awesome!

P.S. in regards to the bosch plats +4s which i read so many horror stories on were all fine, no discoloration , a little carbon residue was on the drive side which was misfiring but none were fouled. they only had LIKE 4000 MILES on them but i didnt want to take any chances.

Get a new set of COP's - It won't run right until you do. Sometimes you can get away with replacing just one. 50/50 chance , keeping the itegrity of your ignition system can play a roll in this situation.

You need a new set, can't get around it now..

As cheap as they are, most people go that route anyway..

Shoot!! I usually explain how that works , Infact , this is the first time I haven't . I just told you how to fix your PO308.

Allot of times all the COP's are failing and when there weak, they don't produce a code. That's whats happening.

You didn't get that explanation - only where to buy ..

My bad ,atleast you know how to fix it..
