I was experiencing the dreaded cam phaser knock in my '04 Screw 5.4L, so I took it in with 30K on it, and they replaced the phasers for me. The dealership actually called me first before I could pick it up to tell me that the issue wasn't fixed, still knocking after the truck warmed up.

They called what the service manager called the "hot line" and they told them to replace the phasers again, which they did. ...Still knocking. Now they want to replace the lifters (under warranty). Any of you all experience this as well?

If you had the lifters replaced, did that fix the issue?
