Mixing fuel system cleaners

Last time I filled up my truck I put a bottle (well 80%) of seafoam in it to hopefully clean out the injectors etc...I just found a bottle of Amsoil on my shelf that I thought I had. I have 3/4 tank left of the Seafoam tank and I was hoping to change my fuel filter after I finish this tank off. Would it hurt to put a couple ounces of Amsoil in with the Seafoam or should I just wait?

I'd run out the seafoam then do the other stuff, then make your changes and do the oil too.

how about using top tier gasoline all the time and not worry about fuel cleaners? Ford does not recommend them. I wouldn't use them.

The Amsoil is more than just a cleaner, it supposedly increases gas mileage and it DID do it on other cars I had. However, it did absolutely nothing in my truck.

If you say so, we all know what an expert you are.

I wouldn't mix them. Save the PI for after your filter change.

i just changed my fuel pump out this weekend. at im at 154K miles. my tank is spotless not a grain of sand or corrosion inside it looked brand new. i was like wow! the only additive i ever used at acetone or B12. the fuel system cleaners caused alot of deposites in the combustion chamber because they dont burn as well. which is how they clean out the fuel system they gunk up and collect small particles and pass them through the tail pipe. so it actually harms performance

What? How about some sentence structure so we might have a chance of understanding your points.
I think I fixed it. Is that what you were trying to say?

Acetone is a solvent which is why your tank is "spotless". Gasoline is a solvent as well. Your filter collects the sand or particulate material.
Most fuel system cleaners are solvent blends as well. If they "gunked up" as you say they wouldn't be cleaners now would they?
Some fuel system cleaners work very well, some don't. Ford themselves recommend Chevron Techron products.

As far as I'm concerned, a bottle of Techron or a few ounces of PI at every oil change is a lot cheaper than getting a BG job done.

wow norm your quite the *******. I think we all got what he was saying. you an english teacher or something? BTW.. ford does not recomend any additives, at least in my manual. The techron they are talking about is in the gasoline you put in the tank from chevron stations I do believe

The techron they are talking about is also available in bottles at your local parts dealer and Walmart etc. It is also in Texaco fuels. And yes Ford has recommended it.
