Klitch my biggest concern was hitch ratings, b.c i dont really know much about it.
Blue, Zaair its not pretty:*( but i will be able to reattach that plastic trim, and it will hide alot of the damage. My next mod will be getting my valence painted, and fully shaving my tailgate.
And now for the pics.
Then we stopped to work on my other roomates car b.c it was acting up. We just put his stock PCM back in...

And i had put my stock shackles back in, so the truck was dropped 3/3 in those pics, but it was sagging about 2.5 inches.
And now for the damage pics
Basically what happened, was I took the trailer off the truck to try to put a taller reciever in, but the ball was rusted on the bar so i couldnt flip it over, and I tightened the trailer back down around the original ball, but didnt tighten it down all the way aparently, but it was tight. So then we get to tryin to get the car on the trailer and we are rocking it on b.c its only running on 4 cylinders, and has a stout clutch so it really wasnt too much help. And then the trailer rocked back and forth and worked its way over the ball, and pushed into my tailgate.
I think im pretty lucky the damage wasnt more extensive!

Klitch i have several other battle scars too so its not that big of a deal, it blends in with silver okay, and once i put that strip back in, it wont be very noticable at all. Plus i needed an excuse to shave the gate anyways
thought about that, but it wouldnt be as aerodynamic, and im pretty sure if i had the lowering shackles still in, the frame would have been laying on the axle

Hey Pat,
Ouch....
So how did your truck do towing on the bump stops? Now you know that your 4.6 is tuff enough to tow most everything At least it was an open trailer, nothing's worse than towing a tongue heavy 6500lb enclosed trailer up hills. Had to drop it in second and go about 50 mph up a 7% grade. Oh yeah, you should get some 4:10 gears, finally got mine, and uhh.. it's just as good as you think it would be on stock tires The CHP unfortunately noticed I was having too much fun....
Have to throw in the Chevy joke, figures you would need a Ford to tow it
Remember if you have any gate shaving questions, you know the person to ask
