I still want to see a 8-71 blower, or 6-71 ontop of a 5.4 one day, it'll happen!

wouldnt the supercharger help from 0-60 and then by that time the turbos would be spooled up and they would give boost on the high end 60-100. they make clutch superchargers i could get one of those and flip it off whenever the turbos are spooled up and that way it wouldnt draw power from the engine right

turn the supercharger off lol... do a little searching on this forum. If a turbo didnt spool untill 60mph, you really have problems.

well maybe not that long but i have seen those superchargers that have a clutch in them like the A/C or the fans on the truck and can be shut off and not draw power. why would it be a waste to have both? im just wondering i thought of this when i was bord in class lol. i would have to find a place for all those intercoolers lol
Also back to my other question does that Engine restore stuff do anything at all?

they might make a clutch supercharger, but not for a 5.4, or a 4.6 which ever you have. Also, its a waste, the supercharger doesnt have any problem sucking air, all the turbo would do is give it air a little easier, and the supercharger would be a restriction for the turbo. You can only make so much boost, and both are capable of giving you what ever you want alone.

Restore uses lead and copper for its active ingredients. These metals are suppose to burnish themselves on areas where parts are worn. The issue is that they wear as fast as they plate themselves. It might be a marginal additive for an almost dead engine but it's certainly not for an engine with any life left in it. If the engine is on its last leg you have nothing to lose by trying it but your money. If the engine is leaking oil and has a seal issue, there are other ester based products out there that can be useful but there is no cure in a can for a tired engine.

So you like the idea of a twin turbo engine? Well, hang on, Ford has an entire line of engines headed your way- maybe as soon as 2009. Look for the Twin Force engines soon. Everything I know about them says they are for real and will put Ford back in the HP hunt. We'll see when they hit the streets.

The last 671 I had the pleasure of using was sitting on a V12 with a Fuller Transmission

My friend bought a brand new one of those! He was so proud of it, he took a picture and hung it on the wall in his living room. Next morning, when he came downstairs from the bedroom, he discovered he had to replace the carpet in the whole living room!

I remember seeing something on I think it was Trucks, the show on Spike a long time ago there was a clip about old semi's. And one of them was a 6 cyl diesel with a supercharger and a turbo mounted to the top of the s/c (or was it the other way around?) Of course it was a semi and one of the things I was thinking on it is why would you force hot air into the top of the motor? but it was along time ago and I don't really remember anything about it other than it was a turbo/supercharger combo.

I think some of the Detroits had a supercharger feeding the turbo rather than using the engines exhaust.
