Check Engine Light

Code: P0174
Lean or rich a/f ratio on eng. bank 2

So I blew the maf with some canned air, and the CEL is still on. What could it be?

MXrob26. That was one of the codes I was getting when I had a vacume leak. Do yourself a favor and check the pcv and line that goes into the lower intake. Also check the elbow that connects to under the tb. That was the one that was causing problems. Good luck Ben

What's that suppose to do ?

You have to clean it first

What truck and motor are you talking about ? It says 2004 , but that's not in the picture ...

Ok , yea, MAF cleaner or electronic cleaner will work THEN that canned air helps after that.

Make sure you disconnect the battery for atleast 15 minutes.

Look for a leak from your PVC line - I would pull the line , everything and check it all for leaks..

Buy a Haynes or Chiltons manual for your model at your local auto parts..

Leave the MAF alone, it won't cause a single bank lean code.

You likely have a vacuum leak as already advised.

I didn't think that was correct. I just read through three pages of Diags from Ford and he's right. Here's the key statment from the determination sheets -

"If one bank is negative but the other is not then the MAF is not the cause"

Damn Steve , you know your chit!!

So what if both banks are lean? MAF or vacuum leak?
