I would give Bill a call at Power Hungry Performance. You won't be disappointed with the results.

He will be the first to say Mike Troyer knows about F150's better than anyone else...but he has taken the same coarses as Mike regarding custom tuning. I think these guys know their s**t better than anyone else in the city, I stay away from Mopac and Unlimited because they seem to lack the knowledge when you ask them a technical question. Matt's tune made a huge difference compared to the canned tunes that was in my truck before.

Good luck

Give Mike Butler a call at 843-667-3595 www.5startuning.com . He's given me excellent service on any issues I've had.

Mlke does them all. Gas/diesel is his forte. I couldn't help myself after I bought my Livewire. I bought the Pro Racer Package and a few books. It's like tuning a carb but with a laptop. I even made the trans shift like I want now.

Awesome. Are his prices similar to Troyer's? I'd love to be able to have a custom tune done locally on a dyno than mail it to somebody.

Yeah, Justin is great to work with. Just give him and call and set up an appointment.

Don't even going through the hassle of doing the famous Troyer waiting game.

No reason what so ever to wait on Troyer for months when you can get better results locally. Dyno tune is the way to go if you can.

I am pleased with my Troyer tunes...but it is getting very difficult to defend him. The waiting is getting ridiculous.

So in the forums, I typically see about a small handful of people complain about their long wait. No dispute there. Those people are waiting.

What about the people who did not have an extended wait? Like me for instance? On the phone, I was told to expect 8-10 weeks. I received my X3 Power Flash on X-Mas Eve, just a little shy of 8 weeks. Of course, I've been too busy enjoying my truck to worry about posting on a web forum about a product that was delivered as promised. What's the use in that?

Of the hundreds of Troyer customers who got what they wanted, how many are posting every other day just to say that it came on time? We hear from a few people who are tired of waiting. What we don't hear are the people who got what they paid for.

And what we never hear about is somebody who got bad tunes. Why is that? Can it be that Troyer, when they deliver, just does not deliver bad tunes? My tunes work perfectly. Has anyone ever had issues with the product once delivered?

Anyone else like me? Ordered it. Got it. Happy with it.

I wouldnt mind waiting 6 months if they told me it was going to take 6 months and they delivered after 6 months. In that case i would know that i was getting my tunes delivered next month.

I already have the empty xcal3, anyone know of a shop in so cal that i can have tune it for me? That way i know that with my luck i will get my Troyer tunes sent the very next day.

There's no reason why anyone should be waiting 6+ months to get a tune. Writing a tune takes a matter of minutes unless the vehicle is on the dyno.

In the SoCal area, there are quite a few custom tuners. A lot of them are in the business of tuning Mustangs. So they should know their way around a Ford PCM; as opposed to one of those "The Fast And The Furious" shops that are used to tuning Honda Civics.

SCT's website has a link to dealers.

I had my stuff in a 2 day turnaround...March of this year. I drove my a$$ from Kansas to Virginia, 900 miles..dropped truck off...2 days later picked it up. Underdrives, dual fans, plugs, dyno and tunes all set, ready to roll.
