New sparkplugs???

I'm sure this question has been asked already, but isn't there a new one piece sparkplug on the market to replace the two piece plugs Ford decided was good enough for our trucks?

Do a search for "Brisk". These are a one piece plug. Some have said there are drivability issues with them and that they are only good for 30kmiles. Website says on stock application they'll go 50k. Here's the link to the Brisk plugs site.

squeaky, I have got one of the new 3v's and have recently been doing a lot of reading on here. I have seen some people talking about the new motorcraft's and it looks like Champion has got a plug that should work as well. I am still undecided on what I am going to do. I mentioned the Brisk's only because he asked about the one piece design.

Sorry this is off topic.
You aren't anywhere near Beaumont, TX are you? The dealers here seem pretty confident they're going to break a few of mine and let me pay for it.

no i live up in illinois sorry
ya we have done a few of them and just about every time at least 1 or more break
especially if they have like over 75k miles they have more of a chance of breaking them

im not sure if they break how it all gets payed
someone at my shop said something about getting paid for the actual time we have in it but i dont think that will be true because when a customer has to pay like over 1k for a tune up they wont be to happy with us

Just Federal Mogul so far - Motorcraft one piece design plugs is just a rumor that's been floating around for about a year now.

I'm not buying a Ford again - between the plug problems and them not being able to put a decent diesel in the HD lines anymore, I think they f^cked up - Bad. AND , they don't even care. They downsized and got rid of the wrong people. It's not the same.

Thanks for all the replies!

Thanks guys. Just wanted to float that question out there, as I'll probably be changing my plugs soon for a second time (they're due). When changed the first time, I used the motorcraft plugs but I'm not sure that they are the redesigned ones (if there is such a thing, haven't heard of them till now). Didn't have any problems with the first change (knock on wood) and don't anticipate any on the next one. I just wanted to get away from the 2 piece plug this time. jbrew, sorry to hear your nolonger a ford guy. I haven't seen anything else out there that I like and I'm extremely happy with the truck I have, so I'll be sticking with ford for now.

Here is one of the threads regarding the champion plugs.
https://www.f150online.com/forums/en...-3-valves.html

The dealer broke 3 of my plugs when I had them swapped for the Champion 1 piece plugs. Truck had 35k miles with a lot a city driving for that which I think does not help with this problem. As you read it seems more people that drive a lot on the highway have had less problems getting the plugs out......This is not a guarantee but just what I have noticed from what people have posted on here. I had a long talk with the service manager about the breaking issue before I brought it in and basically Ford covered the additional costs since I was still under warantee. Others have not had much luck with Ford helping out in the cost department if some plugs break.

I have between 3 and 4k miles on the champions and so far so good.

Do some searching on here and you'll find tons of information. It seems this is a hot topic for awhile then goes away and then it always pops back up eventually. The last rumor I heard was that Ford did NOT come out with a 1 piece plug to fix the problem of the 2 piece. They instead redesigned the cylinder head to take a better designed plug....I believe it was for some of the 08 trucks but again I have not seen anything first hand. So all of us guys with the "old" design" 3V motors are still out of luck from Ford.

happy reading and good luck.
