Navigator Heads on F-150

Well i have a 02 F-150 that ima start building. I also have a 00 Navigator that i plan to get rid of. I don't enjoy 8.9 miles to the gallon out of the Navigator, but i love my Truck to dead. well i was sitting down one day, and asked myself, "is doing the head swap to a 4v worth it for a (what will be) a Nitrous F-series". I mean will i see any improvement without the Unit (Nitrous). I have the car here sitting. I have both as weekend cars and downtime is not a big issue. Do i need to swap over ECU's as well. cut wires. any big mods to do so. i did plan to do a STS turbo kit, but i think i will piece my own kit together once i get ahold of a Gt3082R or a HX40 turbo. Thanks guys for the help. Sorry if it's a newb question.

I would do an entire drivetrain swap. The Navigators have a forged crank and I believe a 4r100 trans as well. You could probably use the wiring harness from the navi as well if there were any wiring issues. If you have the entire vehicle as a donor then why not.

there's a lot more work to just swapping the heads.

like gotts said: swap the whole motor, trans drive train wiring harness and ECU

well, anyway

you need to run the ECU and torque converter for the transmission you will be using. the wiring will be a plug and play into the F150 engine bay. all you will need to swap is the complete engine itself, the engine wiring harness and then get a custom tune.

good luck on the swap
