HI!... Well it looks to be a 5.4 for sure. The 5.4's TB ELBOW had the IAC located in the back. The 4.6's had it on top of the TB ELBOW. From the sticker on the valve cover it looks like it is a 2002. So yes it it would be a 5.4 "P.I" (Power Improved).

On the side of the head it will be stamped "PI". Look below the 2 bumps and above the exhaust port to the right in the pic:

It also has that Big **** EGR valve that the 4six doesn't have. The 4six valve is prolly 10 pounds lighter than the 5fours

What looks funny in that pic is the vacuum routing. The EVR is in the rear opposed to the front of the motor..? See that little stud in upper right corner ? That looks like a DPFE stud or the EVR frame? Must be a van thing. Idunno, 2002 truck motor's had those strange little DPFE's that were discontinued in 03. I noticed the TB was turned as-well. I would rather get a truck motor replacement over a Van, you'll have more spare parts out of the deal. Unless it was a great deal or you didn't care about the other parts being incompatible.

99 was the only year for the aluminum manifold. Kinda rare?

HI!... I've seen some 2000's with the aluminum intake manifold. If you can find one, grab it. You can port the hell out of them. The plastic manifolds you can't do much with them, and their prone to crack.

Yea, I keep a look out for them because I do want one to port. I did not know that some 2000 had the aluminum too.

There's an Aluminum 99 on ebay for $155. I purchased the TB and EGR off that set up, but passed on the manifold, he still has it.

OOPS! scratch that , it's gone!!
