What's up with Global Automotive

I bought 8 new COP's for 1998 F150 5.4L
After installing them, I found that one was no good from the box. That happen's I know. I emailed them, they say send it back with proof of reciept and I do. I FedEx it 12/5/08, FedEx confirms delivery 12/10/2008. I have been emailing them every day trying to get a response from them wondering when my new COP is coming. They won't email me back. Ticks me off that I am driving with 7 new COP'S and 1 old one that I had to put back on the #3
cylinder to replace the defective one. Has anyone else had problems trying to get replacments from them.
I did call the number Jbrew posted for Kevin and no one answers and you can't leave a message. It just keeps ringing.
Your help with this is greatly appreciated.
I won't be happy if I have to run to NAPA and pay $52.00 for a replacment.

Thanks,
TJKinCNY

its only been a week. Give them a few more days. Did you leave feed back? Tell them your going to neg them if they dont move it. I had a simular deal with RPM outlet over a set of Motoblues I got.. You can buy single globals on E-bay for under $10, would be cheaper then buying them locally. Hopefully you get it resolved.

Hey Jethat,
Unfortunately I already left them feed back. Funny thing is, when I found out that 1 COP was no good, I wrote them and they responded within 24hrs. Now that I sent the bad one back to them at my cost, I don't hear from them at all. Thanks for the info on buying a single from them, but I would rather spew the extra $$$ than give them more business. 8 days and not a word, not good.
Thanks for the input tho.

I know its upsetting to not be able to get them to fix the problem but I would want all the same coils and why pay $40 more.. I have all motoblue on my truck and one went bad in a week. Never could get through to RPM. I just gave up and ordered another one from them. It the holliday season and all I'm sure there busy. Be patient or order another. Your truck is doing ok and all. I'd give them a little while. If they dont work with you every time the subject comes up here you can dish out a little payback.

Damn iduno - Maybe he's on a WalkAbout ? When we first met ( had a disagreement/ I meet allot of people that way ) he was calling me.. Things are a little different now. I've hard of people getting excellent service and others - it takes awhile. Not sure why, but you don't need to purchase a new one unless 3 is still giving you problems. I can send yuh one, I have coils coming out my ears

Nope, no problem with #3, There were 3 aftermarket COP's on there when I bought the truck and I used the one that looked in the best shape, plus I put a new boot and spring on it. I woulsd feel better having all 8 new. I can send yuh one, I have coils coming out my ears You have a new COP kicking around your willing to give me ? WOW good friend Brew. I'll wait a little bit before I take you up on that. I want Global to come through. I had to email them a copy of my PAYPAL receipt today after not hearing from them since 12/4/2008. Ticks me off, I put a paper copy of the receipt in the box I shipped to them.
Global does not answer the phone, EVER !!!
This all started on 11/30/2008, FEDEX confirmed delivery on 12/10/2008.
I recieved 2 emails in 3 weeks.and they still need another copy of my receipt, and oh ye, my zip code

Thanks for your help Brew

Wanted to give you guys an update. I really hope no one runs into a problem with their Global COP'S.

Nov. 29th - installed new COPs---1 was no good from the box
Nov. 30th emailed Global for exchange info
Dec 4th - they reply, need bad coil, PayPal receipt & copy of that email.
Dec 10th - they receive coil + paperwork, FedEx confirms delivery

Up until today, I have sent numerous emails, they reply last week with "we need more info, I send it. I send numerous more emails and they will not reply and they DO NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONE.

Trust me, it's not the money or being out the coil, it is a matter of principle. Lifetime warranty is garbage, because I couldn't make it 5 minutes with that coil on.

23 days later still no coil.......I have done some research on Google and there is alot of BAD things written about them. RIPOFFreport.com, and other like sites have listed complaints against them. I can't use PayPal or Ebay for help because they have a 45 day policy for filing their complaints. I bought the COP's Aug 20th but couldn't get them in until 11/29/2008, busy busy.

Help a fellow member out. Email - globalautomotivemiami@yahoo.com and ask them "Where is Tim's REPLACMENT COP (coil)
My item # is 150284917869.
My PAYPAL payment confirmatiom (ID #2LV82680V8340271A)

Just copy and paste the above info into your email and they will get the info.

IF YOU BUY GLOBAL COP's, make sure you install them right away in case you have the same problem, then if you do, PAYPAL AND EBAY can help you if there is a problem within 45 days.

Thanks for your help
TJKinCNY (Tim)

Hey jbrew, can you send 8 coils my way. I just bought an 01 5.4 with 70,000 and the dang thing is missing a week later. Don't know which coil it is so I plan on just buying 8 new coils so I don't have to worry about coils for a while. I have had three 5.4L now and the only problem I ever had with any of them are these dang coil misfires.

No, not 8 - I swap sets around - I use a 98 motorcraft set from a stang, an 02 motorcraft set from a crown vic, one global set and I ordered another set from Global (10 pac) that will be here tomorrow. I like to keep them fresh. My sets all work. Never had a bad one from global. Tracking has my set in Lansing, so they will be here tomorrow. I ordered them last Thursday night. Curios to see what I get now

I've installed sets from Global on other vehicles without a problem in the past. Maybe you should order from another if Global is going down hill - Don't know what to say, haven't been burned, not by them and I get them in 3 business days - even this time of year.

I wanted a fresh set to go with a set of Denso's, plus I'm tuning, can't have any burps.

I can't believe how many sets of coils you have. I thought I was fussy about my truck, you have me beat by alot.

What tune('s) you putting in, and at what cost for just the tune. I might want to do this in 09. I have the truck the way I want it mechanically and the body is all new and fresh. A tune would be fun. How much HP gains and torque will you be getting. Look forward to seeing the finished project when you get er done.

By the way, you need to start a new thread of your own so this "Global Thread" stops popping up. PPL on here will think Global crap is being discussed and we will be talking about your tune and other upgrades you are making. It will be nice following along with your work on another thread. lol lol I wil start it for you. I'll call it "Brew's tunes & upgrades" or "Jbrew is tearing it apart again"

It's a little over 400 for tunes / 3/ base.. From there Im either going to tune over the internet (Live wire) thru the laptop or take it to the dyno - Livernoise Motorsports..After the motors done.
